Montreux Biennial june-october 2021

Osmosis is a creation that speaks to us of empathy.

For the Montreux Biennale 2021, sculptor Alexia Weill continues to explore the symbolism of the circle and invites us on a journey between the visible and the invisible. The wooden circle represents our roots, our reality while the transparent resin circle symbolizes our emotional and intuitive world. These two elements enter into “Osmosis” to form a single circle, that of our humanity.

Alexia Weill, artist, Marie-Hélène Heusghem Director’s Biennial, Olivier Gfeller Mayor of Montreux City, Jean-François Gailloux director’s Biennial.
